      1. Prior to appointment in the advanced endoscopy fellowship, fellows should have completed a three-year ACGME-accredited gastroenterology fellowship
      2. Fellows from non-ACGME-accredited programs must have completed at least three years of gastroenterology education prior to starting the fellowship

Additional Information about Program

The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is a tertiary academic and a regional referral center. The advanced endoscopy program at the UNMC-Nebraksa Medicine, together with our luminal GI and hepatology programs, provides endoscopy and consultative services for our NCI designated comprehensive cancer ( Buffett) center, the Lied liver and small bowel transplant center, the specialty pancreas clinics, motility/esophageal clinics at Nebraska Medicine; we also provide services at the Nebraska- West Iowa, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Omaha NE. In addition, UNMC is a referral center for patients from peripheral Nebraska and the contiguous states. The advanced endoscopy program prioritizes extraordinary patient care with a high quality endoscopy training for the advanced fellow in a very collegial environment.
