Additional Information about Program

The Advanced Endoscopy fellowship is a one-year training program for candidates who have completed an accredited three-year fellowship program in Gastroenterology and wish to receive training focused exclusively on advanced endoscopic procedures. The program provides an intensive training experience in ERCP and EUS under the guidance of a highly skilled, experienced, and committed faculty. Extensive exposure will be provided in all areas of therapeutic Pancreatobiliary Endoscopy, including endoscopic sphincterotomy, stone extraction and lithotripsy, stent placement, balloon dilation of strictures, SpyglassTM intraductal endoscopy, manometry, EUS-guided FNA, and transluminal drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts. The curriculum features ample opportunity for clinical research. One trainee is accepted each year.

We will be recruiting one fellow for our Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship and one fellow for our Bariatric Endoscopy Fellowship.

We also offer a one-year Bariatric Endoscopy Fellowship that accepts one fellow per year. During this fellowship, the trainee will receive comprehensive, hands-on instruction in advanced bariatric endoscopic procedures, including ESG and TORe. The fellow will also participate in multidisciplinary obesity management by working closely with dietitians, endocrinologists, and surgeons to provide fully integrated obesity care. This fellowship is open to candidates who have completed three-year of gastroenterology training.

Once accepted, trainees will be required to obtain a State of Texas Medical License prior to program start date.
