      1. Prior to appointment in the advanced endoscopy fellowship, fellows should have completed a three-year ACGME-accredited gastroenterology fellowship
      2. Fellows from non-ACGME-accredited programs must have completed at least three years of gastroenterology education prior to starting the fellowship

    COMLEX-USA scores may be provided for DO applicants.
    ECFMG Certification is required for graduates from international medical school programs.

Additional Information about Program

The fellow will meet or exceed the following procedural targets during the course of training.

* Completion of a minimum of 200 supervised endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
* Completion of a minimum of 200 endoscopic ultrasounds (EUS)
* Completion of a minimum of 50 large polyps/lesion resections
* Completion of a minimum placement of at least 10 enteral stents
* Completion of at least 50 procedures for management of Barrett’s esophagus (ablation/EMR)
* Completion of a minimum of 50 balloon-assisted enteroscopy procedures

The Advanced Endoscopy Fellow will be appointed at the Post-Graduate Year (PGY)-7 level. A comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision insurance is available. Fellows receive 168 hours of paid-time-off per academic year in addition to five educational leave days, and 9 institutional holidays.
