Additional Information about Program

Dear AEF Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in our Combined Therapeutic Endoscopy at Northwell (CTEN) Fellowship Program, one of the most unique training opportunities in New York.

Our program is designed to optimize the fellow’s clinical and procedural experience by leveraging the extensive resources available across our institution. Training takes place at two tertiary care academic hospitals: North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset, NY) and Long Island Jewish Medical Center (New Hyde Park, NY).

These sites provide comprehensive exposure to a wide range of advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures under the guidance of our advanced faculty members. The fellow will train in high-volume ERCP; diagnostic and interventional EUS; ESD; POEM; EMR; luminal stenting; and ablative therapies, including RFA, cryotherapy, and hybrid APC.

In addition to outpatient and inpatient procedural experience, the fellow will participate in daily rounds with the advanced endoscopy inpatient teams, present at hepatobiliary and pancreatic conferences, and contribute interesting cases for presentation or publication.

The fellow will train alongside our 4th year trained advanced endoscopy faculty:

Juan Carlos Bucobo, MD
Chris DiMaio, MD
Henry Jen, MD
Calvin Lee, MD
Nichol Martinez, MD
Kara Raphael, MD
Kaveh Zivari, MD

We look forward to receiving your application!
