Additional Information about Program

Trainees will be responsible to learn and perform supervised interventional endoscopy procedures (EUS, ERCP, EMR, etc.) for 80% of clinical activity. 15-20% of clinical activity will be dedicated to helping outpatient general GI procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, etc.) determined by the chief of GI. In the advance endoscopy cases the trainee participates in, he or she will be responsible for notifying patients of pathology, scheduling repeat or follow-up procedures, arranging outpatient clinic visits, placing referrals and ordering important follow up tests (labs, imaging, etc.).

Trainee must attend our multidisciplinary HBP conference every 2 weeks and he/she should actively participate in the patient care discussions. The trainee should also attend at least two (2) reputable, well-known national/international endoscopy conferences per year (e.g. Orlando Live, ACG, DDW, ESGE, Tokyo Live, etc.)

Trainee is encouraged to publish one original research study.

Finally, the trainees should provide three lectures on topics of interventional endoscopy to the general GI fellows.
