Additional Information about Program

AEF participants will receive comprehensive training in all aspects of therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP, diagnostic and therapeutic EUS, luminal stent placement, endoscopic mucosal resection and ablation, certain transluminal procedures, and aspects of bariatric endoscopy. Although 3rd space endoscopy is practiced at our center, this aspect of AEF training is not stressed in our fellowship program; however, fellows will have exposure to these procedures.

The attached PDF file for our program that tabulates annual procedures in the Stony Brook University endoscopy unit does not reflect the different interventions performed within each group of procedures and may not exactly match the numbers officially posted for the SBU Medicine AEF Program. The PDF file only reflects procedures that were performed within the inpatient endoscopy unit.
