Additional Information about Program

The advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship program is a one-year training program focused on advanced endoscopy procedures at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, a tertiary referral cancer center dedicated to excellence in all aspects of oncologic care. One ASGE applicant is accepted per year. Applicants must have completed a general GI fellowship and be board eligible or certified in gastroenterology. The fellow receives training in a wide range of advanced endoscopic procedures with primary emphasis in ERCP, diagnostic / interventional EUS and luminal stenting. Depending on interest and skill set there is also the opportunity to acquire exposure and some hands-on experience in endoscopic resection, including ESD and EFTR. The fellowship also provides the opportunity to participate in
innovative clinical research projects within the field of therapeutic endoscopy and publish in peer-reviewed gastroenterology journals. The Interventional Endoscopy
group is comprised of faculty within MD Anderson’s Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
