Additional Information about Program

The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a two-year, high-volume training program offering comprehensive experience in ERCP, EUS, and advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including interventional EUS, EMR, ESD, POEM, and bariatric procedures. Led by Dr. Nadim Haddad and Dr. Walid Chalhoub, the program performs more than 2,000 advanced procedures annually, providing fellows with extensive exposure to complex pancreaticobiliary and gastrointestinal diseases in a tertiary referral setting. The fellowship emphasizes technical excellence, clinical judgment, teaching, and research, preparing graduates to become leaders in the field. Two fellows are accepted each year through the ASGE Advanced Endoscopy Match, with applications opening in March 2026 for the July 2027 start date.
