Additional Information about Program

The Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy section offers a one-year advanced endoscopy fellowship for physicians who have completed an accredited three-year gastroenterology fellowship and are board-eligible or board-certified. The fellowship provides comprehensive, hands-on training in advanced endoscopic procedures, with a strong emphasis on the interdisciplinary management of complex gastrointestinal conditions. The program’s highest-volume area is the diagnosis and management of complex pancreatobiliary disorders, complemented by focused training in endoscopic resection, ablation therapies, endoluminal stenting, fluid collection drainage, and the endoscopic management of surgical complications, among other advanced interventions. Training is delivered primarily through one-on-one mentorship and includes the development and execution of supervised research projects, as well as participation in division and section educational activities, including resident and fellow teaching.
