Additional Information about Program

This is a one-year funded advanced endoscopic training program with a focus on therapeutic endoscopy.

The fellow will receive advanced training in all aspects of ERCP and EUS (diagnostic and interventional) in addition to some techniques of polypectomy/endoscopic resection and luminal stent insertion.
We take fellow's academic activity very seriously during this fellowship and we allocate time to dedicate for research activities for our fellow to finish research activity and publish results.

Other interventional endoscopic tools and techniques will be taught on individual skill level and interest basis. Training in advanced procedures and patient care for patients with complex gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary issues and the performance of clinical research will be an integral part of the program. Candidates must be certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or equivalent and will have completed a three-year training program in Gastroenterology. Superior performance in GI subspecialty training must be evidenced by a strong academic record and outstanding recommendations specifically with regard to endoscopic skills. The applicant should be proficient in EGD and colonoscopy and be Board-eligible or Board-certified in gastroenterology. Candidates must be eligible for a medical license in the state of Arizona.
